thoughts thunk

1. French test tomorrow. If you are waiting for me to writing something in French to follow up this up, don’t hold your breath.

2. Thesis title is tentatively: Multiples of One: A Partial History of Experiencing Art through Reproduction.

3. My truck is happily sporting a camper top, and will soon have new tires! No more sliding around on wet pavement I hope.

4. Application for graduation was approved. Now I just have to pass everything this semester.

5. Recent watchings, in no particular order, include:
A. Million Dollar Baby (good acting, but as my friend Birk said, once the leg comes off, it can only get worse)
B. The Russian Ark (beautiful movie, so completely like the work of W.G. Sebald, but on film)
C. 1940’s House (excellent, no one does reality TV better than BBC and PBS)
D. Sideways (Paul Giamatti is great, Thomas Church Hayden kinda bugged, but I loved him so much on Wings)
E. House of Flying Daggers (beautiful, good fight sequences, but they totally dropped half of the story line–guess we are only supposed to care about love)
F. Dig! (Joel from Brian Jonestown Massacre steals the show)
