Eating my way out of Austin

I’m saying goodbye to Austin by eating at all my favorite places, plus places that I should have gone to a long time ago:

East side cafe
Maria’s Taco Xpress
Kerby Lane (original)
Kim Phung
Tam Deli
Mi Madre’s

Before I go, I still need an expresso milkshake from Spiderhouse, and a drink at Lala’s.
My tummy’s gettin’ full!

I’ve been hanging around SAIC some–the library, [...]

Chicago, Chicago

Well, it looks like I got my apartment in Logan Square–2530 Sacramento, between Fullerton and Logan Blvd.
Also, I have enjoyed the kindness and generousity of some really great people, particularly Gabe, Gavin, and Ruth.
Gotta go!

May 11th

I leave for Chicago on Saturday to look for an apartment. I’ve been focused on something along the blue line or possibly the red. This is the first time I’ve had to think about the relationship of my home and transportation to this extent–welcome to big city living!
Also, today I ran across this link to [...]

45 hours left

of my graduate work here at the University of Texas. So crazy.
I have lots to catch up on afterwards, including updates to this blog, moving my Web site to this domain (including my thesis, happily turned in to the Office of Graduate Studies last Thursday afternoon).
