pool night
Ahh, the last round of pool at Eric’s Billards with Kat, Burke, and Pat. Good times…

I would like to write a really thoughtful post about graduation–what it felt like, what it meant to me, etc., but everything feels too rushed right now. Let me just say it was a nice event: everyone looked real happy, Dean Dillon was as charming a speaker as always, the reception was nice–especially since Duane [...]
Here’s my new building on North Sacramento:
* I can’t remember exactly which one it is, but it’s one of these on the second floor.
And this is my el stop–Logan Square on the blue line:
It’s looking kinda creepy and deserted here, but just because I lingered a bit after the train departed.
All and all, I’m feeling pretty positive about this move. The city seems good, and it’s been real easy to get around. Carrying all my stuff with me has worn me out, though (I’ve had to carry everything twice–shifting between Gabe and Gavin’s and Kristina’s and vice versa).

I have lots to catch up on afterwards, including updates to this blog, moving my Web site to this domain (including my thesis, happily turned in to the Office of Graduate Studies last Thursday afternoon).
The last couple of weeks have been crazy: I am still working on a full rough draft of my thesis; I attended the ARLIS/NA conference in Houston for a few days; the IT Lab has been busy; I need to decide where I am going after graduation (and how I am going to pay my [...]
1. French test tomorrow. If you are waiting for me to writing something in French to follow up this up, don’t hold your breath.
2. Thesis title is tentatively: Multiples of One: A Partial History of Experiencing Art through Reproduction.
3. My truck is happily sporting a camper top, and will soon have new tires! No [...]
Yes, it’s 2005, the year of my re-birth as a high-functioning individual. The next few months will include the following:
1. The writing of my thesis, or what I am now calling a “narrative.” It just sounds more accurate somehow.
2. My graduation from the School of Information.
3. Buying a camper top for my truck (mundane, I [...]
